Results of the 2008 World Championships

I had a look at the Apnea Magazine website to track the results: (http://www.apneamagazine.com/articolo.php/2368)

The results are listed there.

South Africa was placed 10 out of the 21 countries.

Individually, out of 68 competitors:
Jaco Blignaut was 14th,
Gyula Plaganyi, 38th,
and Alan Fraser, 41st.

I look forward to speaking to the guys to find out how it was. All three divers had a day of zero score - it is tough diving five or six hours under stress of a comp and getting nothing!

Well this week we seem to have some easterlies lined up and teh action should begin. Just hope the plankton blooms can hold back.

Cannot believe how the guys got robbed! It is shocking how there was not even a proper investigation by the officials. Despite all that it was still a good result.

Wow, it's crazy! Can't actually beleive what happened. Well I have to say again for them to have pulled through so much adversity and still got such a good result... hats off to them! They deserve alot of respect for still making such a good effort even though all that stuff went down.
