Online Open 2009 Date Change

Lohan Geel organised a prize for the online open competition.
Lonach Guest house at Emerald Hill offered a nights accommmodation including breakfast. The venue is in Port Elizabeth 10 km from the airport. The expiry date is November 2009.

The online open is an open spearfishing competition that anyone can enter. I had planned to run it from Mid March to end of April but I think I have left it a bit late to promote the competition so I willr ather delay its start to try for good participation. I believe it will be better to run it from April 1 to the end of May.

So you can shoot fish at your leisure during this period and must just take a pic of it and weigh the fish with a person to witness the weight. Then send the pic(reduced size - i.e. not bigger that 300k) to me on as it is great to post the pics for others to see.

Proceeds are to be donated to our team representing SA at the next Euro Africa Qualifier.

Please spread the word that we will have the competition and lets see how many [participants we can get to enter.

The entrance fee will be R80 per person entering.

Rules are the same as last year:

Shoot in legal spearfishing areas in South Africa
Adhere to spearfishing regulations
Submit you best five fish - i.e. closest to the SA record as a percentage. If the SA record is 3 kg and you get a 1.5 kg fish it means you get a score of 50%.
Your 5 best submissions are added to give your score.
You must have a witness present and weigh on as accurate a scale as possible - not old rusty in your fishing bag!!!
Send a reduced size pic of hte fish to - Pretty girls that are scatily clad may support your fish for the picture such that you may concentrate on your smile.

So please spread the word.

Contact me on or 0845733085 if you wish to enter.

I will follow this post up with further details.

Wow the weather 4cast predicts about 10 days of east winds!!! Where will you get fish in that??? I have a few ideas...
