Spearfishing progress and Mufasa
Zeph and I went for a spearfish yesterday evening and Zeph got lucky. We had 6-9 m viz, 18 deg C, and enjoyed Malay Pools big open space. I showed him a new hunting method and it worked on the blacktail.
We also found penguin there and took it home for the night then to SAMREC for rehab. I saw a vagrant scratching in the bins nearby and decided to intervene and take the bird before it got eaten. At SAMREC Jared said any penguin found beached along our shores should rather be brought to SAMREC - there at least it get fed and released at a later stage.
Of course the arrival of a vicious bird creates quite a stirr at home amongst the other kids - Griffin my youngest wearing the T rex shirt below says its is a "naughty parrot"!!! The penguin was named Mufasa at SAMREC and I will follow it's progress.
